The flyers sure have played against a lot of backup goalies this year….. I’ve never actually gone through and done it, but I’m pretty sure that they’ve got to be among the leading teams playing against backup goalies

Drawing penalties doesn’t hurt. However, there’s this big belief in the eastern conference in order to get to the finals you’re gonna have to beat Florida. In order to beat Florida you’re gonna need somebody like Hathaway.

Hathaway is a 4th line role player. You have to have top lines and top defense pairings that can match up against Florida.

When you're a .500 non playoff team, there are no key players to the chemistry. The only players that matter in a team that should be rebuilding, is young elite talent. Of which they have one, Michkov. Everyone else should be available.

Funny how the Flyers have so many guys that are “the type of players playoff teams want” yet they can’t make the playoffs themselves.

True, but they really don’t have that many players playoff teams want. Laughton, Hathaway, there are murmurs about Couturier if they are willing tp take back some cap space and/or get another team involved. Those three players all have in common that they’re very specific to what they do. Those are the kind of players that playoff team teams want if they need them.

I doubt it. If that's how they felt they would've never re-signed Hathaway, Seeler and Konecny. When they don't trade Laughton, what will that tell us?
