I don't think JT wants to go to Chicago. Try again!

Maybe this is where a 3 team deal happens. NY gets Miller and Columbus or another team gets what they need. Could be what's happening right now.

I would take that same advice if I were you, try again. It didn’t say JT for Seth

There is talk that if JT doesn’t get moved, Guerin will try to get him in the off season.

Next season, the Hawks lose Taylor Hall, Athanasiou, Martinez, and over $3M of buyout space. That's $18M off the cap. They will need to spend at least $10M just to reach the cap floor. Losing Jones' $9.5M puts them way below the floor. That puts them in a situation where they are signing trash for inflated prices. So much better off just keeping Jones. He can mentor guys like Vlasic and Levshunov. So none of this is happening.

Just an FYI on the stats here...

Jones has played 31 games, not 37.

He has missed 16 games, not 17.

His points per game this year is not up a little bit from last year...it's up a whopping 40% and is the 2nd highest of his whole career.

His contract has 3 more years, not 5. Even if we count this season, that's 4 not 5.

Eklund: On Seth Jones and Why a Trade is NOT Impossible…

Watching TSN this morning, and during the Nashville - San Jose highlights, Jay Onrait makes a comment about William Eklund, as San Jose throw away the game:

"That'll teach Eklund for starting that hockeybuzz website."

Thought that was pretty cool, doubt many people watching would get that reference.

Wouldn’t be a scenario where they are signing players to inflated contracts. Bedard will be signed to a new contract after this year.
