Why would he be interested in Pitt or Chicago? They’re garbage annd not likely to get into the playoffs. And I thought you just said Pitt is selling including vets.
I said sarcastically months ago he should come back and go to his home town Winnipeg for a cup run. But why would they need him? |

The ONLY possible reasoning I can think of why he would consider either of those two would be to see if he really has it in him to get back into the league and then set himself up for a better situation the following season.
In CHI specifically, he'd certainly get top 6 opportunities, PP and PK time, etc. PIT, I'm far less familiar with.
Regardless of whether he'd like to or not, I'm still really skeptical that his body will let him come back. |

Agreed. Going to a team may just be for him to get his legs beneath him and then have an understanding of his desire for a full season and explore teams then. But what does that mean? Would he really a place where he had a shot at 2nd line center for the minutes?
But he should go to a Cup contender. Even though he's already a winner, he should find someone who loses a top 3 center before the deadline and have zero cap space. Go there.
Pittsburgh? No reason to go there other than his friendship with and respect for Sidney Crosby. I just don't see that being anything important. He's got friends all over the place. |

Someone please sign Toews. Play him for a few games. So that everyone can see that he's totally useless. Then he can go away. So exhausted with this story.
I could see Pitt being interested since they are in FULL BUYER MODE.
Looking forward to a refreshed rumour chart. Sort of thought that might be done during the 10 day shutdown. But better late than never. |
