Any insiders here on what’s fanning the rumor mill flames? |

I’d love to see the 4th line vets all traded and kids brought up. Boko, gruden, broz. At least they would play like they have something on the line. |

You are not wrong! Broz is a bit more of a skilled player and offense driver, but Gruden and Boko hit. |

It does make me wonder if something is going to happen. Very strange call up and send down. |

Boko is 28, hardly a kid. I could go for Gruden. Broz I'd rather still give top 6 minutes to than bring up for fourth line duty yet. Eventually that might be his ceiling, but I want to give him a chance to develop as a 3C. |

There is zero incentive to trade Crosby because even on a losing team he sells tickets. The Fenway group wants to sell tickets. They have to. Crosby would have to be the person triggering the trade and I don't think he'll do that in the next 2 seasons. |

Rust is probably out tonight so they needed a spare forward is my guess. Why Boko? Sully seemed to like him as a room guy. Not my choice though. Doubt he actually plays unless they expect a real physical game or someone is sick. They could swap them back tomorrow. |

I don't think insider info is needed. Last night Kevin Weekes tweeted out a picture of Pittsburgh. He did that once before, Reirson was fired days later, and he said that's why he tweeted.
Bissonette ran with that saying maybe that means Crosby to Colorado. No source, just him spit balling, but the rumor mill ran with that for half a day because it was good for conversation. |

I do find it fun after our discussion in the other thread they called him up. He actually plays a good defensive game so maybe he plays over Nieto? He definitely adds a different element to the team.
I just find it interesting they didn't bring up Gruden. I will say thank you Dubas if he is reading these forums! |

Probably because it is a short term thing and he may or may not actually see the ice. I'd be cool with getting him in a game and seeing if he can bring some energy.
Broz is playing a more important role for WBS so they probably don't want to pull him out in that same scenario. |

Well DOC still gets a jersey so let’s not get too excited about Boko in the lineup. |

I'll play along. What would a Crosby to Colorado trade look like?
Mittelstadt? COL 2025 1st, plus what else? I don't think the Avs pipeline is the greatest. |

This road trip is definitely ensuring we are sellers at the deadline. |

No Geno and rust should be a couple more daggers in the coffin. Trading Petts should be the final one. |

This is what this season was always going to be. We should be happy that we are going to have a shot at a top 5 pick.
Let's start selling and see how many picks we can get in the first two rounds this year.
Ottawa has dropped out of a spot and Montreal is tied up with them. Both of those teams would love to get in and Ottawa wants it badly. Both could really use Karlsson... Just saying.
I've got Rackell on my no trade list unless he brings back a 1st and a strong prospect. He represents really good value at $5M with the rising cap. |

I can't imagine there's not a few offers on the table for two or three of our players. Dubas better not eff this up.

Keeping sully as coach was the dagger. Dudes so past his expiration date it’s crazy.
Just call up kids and stop playing the nietos, accairis, gryzlycks. It will never happen with sully behind the bench. |

I think a top 5 pick, some good prospects/young talent (from the TDL), and an aggressive offseason and we can be definitely be in a playoff spot this time next year. |
