Canada will probably need to score 4 goals or more to win.

"Jon Cooper changed up the lines and it definitely worked. I can't imagine he changes anything ahead of Thursday's game."

It also helps that the Finns had to run MatinpAHLo against a line featuring McDavid/Stone/Point.

They had two defenseman in that game capable of playing adequately against anyone in Canada's top 6.

If you're running Olli Maatta and Henri Jokiharju out there as your second pair you're going to have a bad time.

And started their 2nd best goalie. If Saros had played that game, it probably goes to OT and they both get eliminated.

On the Leafs.

I say start him coming out of the break and let him compete for the backup job. Send Murray back down or trade him.

Having Gibson changes everything.

Felt bad for Lindell/Mikkola and Barkov. It felt like they played 70% of the game.

Don't think you can afford to trade Murray.

First of all, he's not worth anything.

Secondly, Gibson is very appreciated but his workload is usually double. You never know when he might need that extra day off and you'll need that extra, extra back-up.

Barkov was allowed to play? Should have sanctioned him. Just in case.

Weird one from Cuthbert:

The team that has had the home dressing room has lost every game at the 4 Nations tournament.

Team USA gets the home room for the final.

This knocked a memory loose from when I toured the old Boston Garden in about 1995.

The tour guide told the story (so not 100% sure it is true) that some visiting team in the playoffs (can't remember basketball or hockey) complained that their was no air conditioning. Bruins (they ran the building, not the Celtics) told them to eff off.

So the visiting team got the league involved - league said that according to league standards, every visiting team had to have an air conditioner.

So the Bruins bought an air conditioner, and put it in the middle of the room, still in the box (I'm assuming it wasn't a window-type), and said, "There's your air conditioner!"

Edit: it was the Lakers:

When the Celtics, co-tenants with the Bruins, met the Los Angeles Lakers in the 1984 National Basketball Association Finals, Boston was an oven. The Lakers barked that their locker room desperately needed an air conditioner.

Auerbach obliged. When the Lakers showed up the next night, there was a new air conditioner. On the floor. In a box.

Better or worse than installing multiple AC units then setting them to max with no off switch?

6 on 5. They barely moved. Especially Laine. He just stood on his dot and waited for the puck.

Nancy Kerrigan was from Boston, so you could just go with it.
