Shocking.
Drai all the way. They've been equally important to their teams but Drai gets the nod being the only NHLer that's going to score 50 goals. Might hit 60. Nate will hit 30. They're pretty much even in points.
Drai also leads the league with 10 game winning goals. MVP. |

It can't be Draisaitl if his team is underperforming so badly.
The Oilers are really kind of an embarrassment this year and are not showing any will to win and a true leader would work to remedy this.
He has grown up considerably but he's still doing far to many "hero plays", trying to do it all...and there have just been too many nights where he just mails it in. An MVP simply can't do this.
The best players make others around them better. McDavid and Draisaitl are amazing but they don't make their teammates better. It's becoming a serious issue. |

Dry Saddle is a machine.
I remember reading somewhere that Tampa explored trading Kucherov for Dry Saddle several years ago. I don't recall the details of it. If that trade had happened, both of those franchises might be in different places now. Imagine if McDavid had Kuch as his wingman. Or, if Tampa had Dry Saddle, Stamkos, Point, Cirelli down the middle.
