Drury obviously has work to do and his first job should be finding the right coach. Not sure any team has underperformed as much as the Rangers this year and somehow many Rangers fans, beat writers and some bloggers seem to want to credit the coaches for 2022 & 2024 and blame the players for 2023 & 2025. Obviously, it's players and the coaches. David Quinn was a long shot to be able to get them over the top. Neither Gallant nor Laviolette were Drury's first choices. It's time to pick the right coach. I could see David Carle going to Chicago, where he, (and his young family) can probably at least have the chance to play the long game. Maybe Seattle? San Jose? No real reason to think Sullivan gets fired, but if he does, guessing the Bruins and Rangers will be in a bidding war. I think the Rangers are in better shape to win that, but again, will he even be available? Torts would check a lot of boxes, but he hasnt had much success in a long time and I don't want him near guys like Perreault. I would love to see him light a fire under a lot of other guys like Lafreniere. Still, IMO Drury can and should do better. Jay Leach? Jay Pandolfo? Any head coaches getting fired in the next few weeks? If Drury wanted Quenville, I would think he'd have already hired him. |

What about Boudreau? Only say him because he coached JT Miller a couple seasons in Vancouver and that’s where he blossomed into the player he is now
Whoever the next Spencer Carbury is, is who should be the next Rangers HC. Who that is, I
have no idea!! |

I thought about Boudreau as an interim even before they got Miller. "The next Carbury" is spot on and (as you said) I wish i knew who that was. Going to need Hartford to be a great place for development too. I'm about an hour west of Hartford, but I don't watch the the Wolfpack. I don't know if Grant Potulny is up the task. If he's not, they need to get the right guy for that job as well because Perreault, Fortescu, Laba and others will need a good coach down there, as well as the right vets to help with development. |

I get the feeling Perreault isn’t spending much if any time in the minors

Wow, just awful. They never touched the puck the entire overtime. It almost looked like the Ducks were toying with them and could score whenever they wanted.
Friggin brutal. |

That was absolutely pathetic. They were handed a win by the refs in the 3rd after being bailed out again by Shesty. I knew when they had the 5 on 3 with a 2 goal lead that they needed to score. And they (frank)ing blew it. Despicable. |

I’d fire pretty much everyone after that. Stick boys. Can they fire the stick boys? Are there still stick boys?
It may not be the worst Ranger team of the last 50 years but it’s probably the least likable.
Dolan should take away the team plane like the owner in Major League did and make them hitchhike to San Jose |

Durry and the entire staff should go.
No effort and by far the worst defensive team in the league |

That travesty last night would kill the most optimistic of optimists. Powerplay after powrerplay in the 3rd. It was incredible. |

5 power plays in the 3rd period alone, and they only had 8 total shots in the period. You have to work really hard to be that bad. |

It’s like was this on purpose or something as a Trouba protest? lol. I’m no conspiracy theorist or anything but…. |

Joe Micheletti didn’t hold back after giving up that tying goal in the 3rd. I loved it. Basically yelling how do you allow a 4 on 2 with 1:30 left when you have a lead. Calling out all the forwards for refusing to back check at all. It was real eye opening where this franchise is right now |

Once Trouba crippled himself when he skated into the boards the team just stopped playing |

5 on 3 for 1:40 and no shots during it. Powerplay 1 shouldn’t see the ice the rest of the season |
