Eklund: The Next Great NHL Coach: David Carle

David Carle took the US world juniors team to gold in a tournament they were clearly the best coached of all the countries, including Canada.

Canada had David "practices are so suckers" Cameron who looked like he wanted to be at the bar in charge. Not that hard to be a better coach in that instance.

Hope the Hawks hire him!!

It also helps to have a stud like Zeev Buium as your #1 defenseman.

Matt Carle's brother, so I hope he knows the way to Philly now that they may have figured that they need a young coach to go along with the current rebuild.

Would be great for the Ducks and the young core.

I can’t remember what it was like to have a good coach. The Devils have just had musical chairs behind the bench. Unfortunately Fitz believes in recycling other’s trash (Keefe).

I know we rolled the dice with Hakstool, but as a Flyers fan, I’m willing to do it again.

Agree w the last poster. I’d love him in Philly. No more old school retreads!! Philly needs a young guy who can relate to the players, understands the way the league operates now, and employs a faster more complex system.

It was pretty clear that Latvia outcoached everyone else by a country mile and I'm not sure it's close. But the coach can't play the games too.
