I think they’re at the point where Lombardi, if he’s healthy, can take a job. Mazur, same. Tuomisto looks ready and should certainly pull ahead of Holl. Wallinder and Buium should both work their butts off. Kasper’s been a nice add. I was just listening to the “Slangin’ the biscuit” guys and they did a segment on the losing mentality. Buffalo is the team that gets brought up. High draft picks, but when they were tanking for McDavid, the team atmosphere has had a hard time recovering. Play the best hockey you can play in my opinion. The first round picks under Yzerman have been stronger than under Holland. But as far as the gap filling vets, see if you can jettison or waive some. The one buyout I’ve heard at least mentioned is Holl. I’ll stick by the thought that there may be some good trades to be made out there. Nice drop in, thanks for that. If you see Lombardi’s opening goal from yesterday it was a diving tribute to Orr. Just have to keep him healthy.

If Holl, Petry, Gustafson move on that would leave us with Seider, Edvinsson, Johansson and Chiarot.
Add in Toumisito, Sandin-Pelllikka and Wallinder/Buim would give us the youngest d-corpse
In the league. So I think Yzerman maybe looks for a tough guy d-man like Gudas.
I am with you that Lombardi, Mazur make the team next year. Soderblom in my eyes is still a rookie. So that would give us five very young additions. Do you think that makes it difficult to have Danielson in the mix. Again Yzerman will need to add more grit and sand paper to the line up, maybe he uses Berggren in a deal for a tough forward or d-man. Something is going on with our two current NHL goalies that Yzerman is collecting tendies. I have a feeling he lets Lyon go, but I wonder if Talbot is thinking about retiring?
