Disgusting!!!
Can't believe we fell apart like that. We dominated the game. Took too many shots from the perimeter however. No presence in front of their net.
They crunch our goalie no call. Extra penalty to Phaneuf. Blown call on the faceoff at the end of the game. |

Posted this before the game tonight. Dug it up:
---------------------------------------------------
Just looking down the road at our schedule over the next 5 games...
There is no reason why we couldn't win all of them. The two best teams among those 5 games are Minny and Ottawa, and they're hardly superior to us statistically.
Ottawa, Minny, Montreal, NYI, NYI.
Or, in terms of league rank, 9th (with 3 games more played), 14th, 24th, 26th, 26th.
If we can't take at least 3 of these games, if not 4 or even all 5, our season is toast. These games have the air of "make-or-break" about them.
--------------------------------------------------
Having watched tonight's game, I predict we drop one of Minny/Montreal, then split the NYI games.
2-3-0 on this stretch. Then Pittsburgh beats us with a healthy Crosby (maybe) before the all-star game.
And that's the ball-game. |

You should be able to beat Montreal...minny is good but hasn't been great the last while...isles have been better but you should be able to get at least 1 from ny

No offense to the Sens, but we "should" have beat you tonight, too.
Leafs don't get motivated for meaningful games. Consistent theme under Rotten Ronnie. |

Goalie is part of the team. Don't solve the goalie = you loose to the team. Leafs lost to Sens. +2 Sens. |

how do you figure. looking at the numbers, and the standings, ottawa is a better team, so you "should not" have beaten us tonight, and you didn't. |

At this point of the season I don't think anyone really would favor the leafs over the Sens..Sens have Been playing better hockey and getting much better goaltending..teams plays hard all game and even getting outshot we still get the win.
And honestly most of the leafs shots were from the perimeter.. |

I could troll the Leafs fans but I wont
However, what an embarrassment Phaneuf is. Play acts after a hit, then ducks from Spezza later on who was getting in his face (LMAO). Then only decided to fight big bad Nick Foligno after Rosehill chased him around for a bit and realized he was looking like an idiot for not doing anything himself as captain
Yikes
Asides from that, thought the Leafs played a good game but Anderson kept us in it until we pulled our heads out of our asses and started outplaying you. Too many individuals on your team though. Everyone trying to carry the puck through the neutral zone without passing. Stick check after stick check from our guys in the 3rd period

You were 7 points up with 3 more games played (a possible 6 points right there).
Hardly an open and shut case. There isn't a whole lot of difference between the abilities of our two rosters, but you've got a real coach, apparently.
You're not so far ahead of us that we shouldn't have won, especially after grabbing a two goal lead. It's not like you're the 1970's Canadiens here. |

I get a kick out of the 'Well the Sens have games in hand so they're really not that far ahead of us'
Newsflash. You've lost 3 in a row. What makes you think you're going to win 3 in a row to only make it a 1 point (check that, 3 points now) gap?

Not at all...post was a reply to a comment saying leafs should have beat the Sens..when the reality is there is nothing to indicate that's the case..teams are pretty even this season..Sens are better coached and are getting better goaltending right now... |
