Those are two pretty potent guys unavailable for the Jets tonight, especially Kane, who always seems to be a thorn whenever he plays the Flyers. I feel good about this one for some reason |

It is Bryz time!
I want to see Bryz have a strong game and not allow any weak goals.
Time for Bryz to lock down the #1 spot.

Actually guys, the jets are a little more banged up then that. They are missing some key role players as well. Alexander Burmistrov wont play tonight, Tim Stapleton is out too. This is going to be a killer for the jets as thats a 3rd of their top 9 out and its no surprise that the jets are not exactly the deepest team. With that said their callups from the ice caps usually do an alright job filling in.
The flyers better not come out lazy tonight because Wellwood and Wheeler seem ready to break out of their slumps tonight.
Ill be at the game tonight watching my 2 favorite teams slug it out.

Personally, I always had the ASB as the point where he had to put up or shut up, so long as the team maintained it's standings spot. Now it is here and he either has to step it up or yield the job. |

How many games would you give him to show consistency? How quickly do you pull the plug?
Bryzgalov was signed to be 'the guy' for the foreseeable future, and it looks like this adjustment period of his might just last the entire season. Of course, things could fall into place starting now, and the worry will be put on the back burner (at least until the first sign of a major solar flare in his head).
How was the game last night?

James van Riemsdyk returned to practice on Monday, but he is still listed as being out indefinitely with a concussion. He has been sidelined since Jan. 12 and there's no timetable set for his return. However, his return to the ice is encouraging.

Daniel Briere (concussion) practiced on Monday, but he is still out indefinitely. His last game action came on Jan. 17 and it's uncertain when he will be ready to return. Briere wasn't available for comment following the session.

Jaromir Jagr (groin) skated at Monday's practice, but his status for Tuesday's match versus Winnipeg will be determined after the team's morning session.
"I don't feel any pain," Jagr said after practice. "Like I said before, the game is totally different." He sat out two games before the All-Star break after re-injuring his groin and is listed as day-to-day. Consider him questionable to play at this time.

I want more consistency. The first thing I want to see is elimination of weak goals. I want to see battling Bryzgalov, out challenging shooters, better fundamentals.
The next ten games is where I want to see that consistency. There's a day off between each of the next 9 games, the tenth is a back to back. There's his window.
The game was a blast. Guacapoopie had fun. Got to see John Stevens again. He dropped the ceremonial puck, and was sitting in the section next to us. I was surprised, because he remembered me. Good time was had by all... |

Id give him the next 5 starts. You want him to get into a groove. There is nothing worse than flip-flopping..
If he comes out and looks like crap and does terrible tonight.. give him a shot on Thursday.. If he doesnt play well there.. you gotta go with Bob over the weekend. |

Exactly, no following up a strong start or two with one where he allows a weak goal or two. |

He needs to play the way he did his past few starts. His last 3 or 4 starts have been pretty good... even the Boston game IMO... so I hope he can carry over. |

That's what I want to see. I don't think he was bad against the Bruins, just not especially good. |

Its really weird.. he has games where his save % is really high.. and follows it up with a game where his save % is really low.

You'd give him 5 games to get into a groove, but you'd yank him after 2?
You're really Laviolette, aren't you?
Seriously, I know what you mean...two crappy games and the 5 start thing is moot. It's all in his approach.
I think there are still issues with how the D plays in front of him. Some games they let him see the puck, and others they're back to screening him.
