PLEASE beat these guys. I feel like just a W will really get the adrenaline pumping for that Wings game. If they beat both these teams, I think we'll be flying high.

I found the Hair-pulling nonsense as an excuse to absolve the rangers from the beatings they took from Sestito. So let's replay the fight and see what really happened
Bill, I would just like to say sincerly thank you for every blog you post. This season you have posted a new blog every day and for that I am grateful. Your among the best, if not thee best blogger on this site. Merci, and keep up the good work sir. Cheers

Okay at the 1:05 mark he does pull hair oh well - JoeRussomanno
ahh dragon ball z. used to watch this all the time in grade school. it was the merde.
Let's hope so. Total team defense will be key. Bob's gonna give up some rebounds, and the team has to clear them, and clear the porch. If they can really limit the second and third chances and let Bob see the puck, I like the Flyers to pull this one out.
I generally don't think any regular season game is a "must win" but I think a win today is as close as we get...even if it's just for the psychological impact of beating the Rangers (for me not the team)

I couldn't care less about tomorrow night. - MBFlyerfan
Points are points, and beating the Rangers and then losing in regulation in Detroit won't help too much.
Tomorrow's game in Detroit will be about challenging as it gets (even more than today's game). Flyers rarely win in Detroit, will be in final game of 7-in-10, playing on consecutive days while Red Wings idle today plus Detroit will be going for their 20th straight home win.
The Flyers will have to dig real deep to win either game this weekend but especially tomorrow tonight. If they can finish the weekend with 3 of 4 points, it will be a nice accomplishment.
But first things first. Flyers have to crank out an effort against the Rangers similar to the one against Nashville; just as much energy as the Toronto game but a little bit cleaner defensively.

silver lining tomorrow......No Jimmy Howard?
That said I watched the Wings game last night and Joey MacDonald was great.
The Wings are hot and heavy after Paul Gaustad, they'd be even more hell to deal with if they landed him.

3 fights & not one would I say Sestito clearly won, maybe the Dubi fight, but Dubi is not a fighter, he will drop them cause he doesn't back down but he's NOT A FIGHTER. Only against Mike Richards.
And there's no excuse for a guy who outweighs & outsizes his opponent to pull his hair.

I do NOT like the hair pulling, no excuse is right.
That said Sestito fought 3 players that are all better hockey players then he is so he got them off the ice for 5 minutes so he did his job though as I mentioned I think it probably fired the rangers up more.

Good point although Bickel is not in there for much other than dropping the gloves, he is the ONLY defensive liability we have out there. He is said to be dressing as a 7th d MAN today with Steve Eminger back on defense.
