Nabakov most likely will start. I just want to see a good effort tn from the boys. |
|
|
|
Nabby should start every game except either night on back to backs. This guy has been great for us and if we are serious about even trying to make a playoff run, we need to start Nabby as many times as possible. Montoya seems to have lost it, too many softies getting by him. I just don’t think the guy has the confidence anymore. Nabby is a legit #1 in the NHL, Montoya is not. |

I agree if the Islanders are serious about making the playoffs then you ride NAbby and Montoya can sit and watch. Nabby is the only guy who will get us there. |

This is ridiculous to even talk about because who trades one of their best offensive players for a goalie but since this is a rumor page...
Kane and Bickell for
PAP, Bailey, Nabokov, a 1st and prospect - brodydog29
First off they are almost never trading Kane and if they did it would be more like
Kane and Bickell for
PAP, Nino, Poulin, and a 1st at the least!!
Second, Montoya and Nabokov are both rhythm goalies that don't like sitting. They both need to keep playing game after game in order to stay hot. This is why Montoya seems off lately, he is sitting too much. It is a tough situation to have because you can't play both every night! |

They want a goalie for the now, that's why you talk Nabokov.
Agree with you about Montoya and Nabby... Sitting one makes him a bag of poo when he finally gets his shot |

If Chicago is giving up Kane, a goalie better and far younger than Nabokov has to go the other way. The isles dont have that goaltender. |

Chicago can't trade Kane and get back Nabokov in the deal, even if its part of a package, and call that a good deal. They would only think of moving Kane to acquire a goaltender. They're not moving a kid in his early 20's and a perrenial all star for a 36 year old goaltender. Actually, the trade that makes sense for Chicago is Kane for Ryan Miller straight up, if Miller is actually on the trade block and wants out of Buffalo. |

I still say make a run for Nash. Islanders have the parts to get him. Plus he does not want to play in a big market and he would lookgreat next to Tavares |

I completely agree Jethro. I saw this and just posted it, but Chicago is looking for a fix. If Chicago gets creative they go after a younger goalie like Schneider and tries to make that work. I'm looking at it from Islander goggles.. |

They're not trading their second best player for 2 spare parts, a currently-hot-but-aging goalie, a pick and a prospect. Not even Strome. |

List is already out. It was a short one. I may be leaving a team or two out but it was LA, Philly, NYR, and Vancouver. I'm fairly sure that was it. |

I agree he would look great with him, who wouldn't playing with Tavares. The problem is they are not getting him. People have said this all over this site and I agree - He's not going from a terrible team and waiving a NTC to go to a bad one. As much as I was just writing about Kane, the Islanders need the bigger, better piece on the defensive side and just better role players, grind'em out of the corners, go hard to the net guys on offense. Basically, they need to get BIGGER. |

It is funny though he made a big stink about not playing for a big market team and then Blam O here is the list. Weird I tell you. Honestly I dont know if the Islanders are going to do much. If they are serious about a playoff run then they need to keep Nabby no matter what. |

They do need size something Wang has no clue about. Who knows maybe next year will be the year with better FA. |

For Kane
Grabner or Okposo Nino or Strome Nabby 1st round in 2012 and 13

The Blues HAD to lose to Columbus the other night. Isles just love to get teams at the worst possible time. Like Anaheim right after their GM ripped the players a new one and threatened to trade all of them. Tonight is a tough one. Not expecting much. Just want to see a good effort |

Jackets need a goalie. I think you are on the right track but it would take the addition of Poulin probably. |
