Good write up Gunner, that stat with never having four divisonal teams over the century mark is amazing, and there could be two tonight. |

Nice write-up gunner, except for the part where you invited Flyer fans in to state their opinions as if we care.
To your point on the favorite Malkin goal, here is the video:

I was there for the slapshot against Biron. Wasn't that a playoff game as I recall. That was a giant F- YOU to the Flyers after that hit. Will be at the game, LETS DO THIS!!!! |

Good job Gunner obviously this game means alot more to the Penguins. We win tonight and lock up 1st place. Then we can call up Craig and MacIntyre to beat the crap out of the Flyers. JK of course but I would really enjoy that.

I meant 4th Thanks...
Also no Flyer fan will admit they would rather play the Panthers except maybe Tangent. It's a macho thing.

A lot of Flyers fans & even some of the players seem to still think they're better than the Rangers, even after a season sweep. Can't knock sense into some of these people. |

Even though the Flyers have had the Pens number this year, I'll admit that (as a fan) I would prefer the Flyers play the Panthers in the 1st round. Although I would be concerned about what that says for the team as they would have to lose their last 3 games in order for that to happen. The other problem with that scenario, in my mind, is that with NY & Boston expected to win their series (it doesn't matter what happens in a Pitt-NJ #4-#5 series), that would put the #6 Flyers up against the Rangers in a potential second round series and everyone knows that track record. If the Flyers get #4 or #5 and win the first round series, that would put them up against Boston in a potential second-round series...not that Boston is a pushover by any stretch, but at least they weren't owned by them to the tune of an 0-6 record (like NY).
I guess at some point, you just have to take the approach that if you're going to make a deep run & a shot at the Finals, you have to go through the best team(s) in your conference first so it shouldn't matter when that happens. |

To be fair, they have a reason to be confident based on this years regular season and their dominance at our new rink. The playoffs are a different animal. |

Very true, playoffs are different. I remember the Rangers blitzing the Devils in a 6 game sweep in 94 only to be taken to OT in Game 7 of the Conference Finals.
The whole league wants to see the Pens/Flyers series cause of the rivalry & bad blood, but that's gonna go 6 or 7 & leave the victor very battered. |

I heard a rumor bigs was in line to sharpen the skates for the team, but he kept cutting himself. |
