Alfie will be back next game and Spezza had a bad game. Can't sit Butler after last night, he had a great game. |

Its kind of an odd question and impossible to answer from a fans perspective.
The answer is, if any player available can increase a teams chance at winning in the playoffs, then yes he should be added....but, no one knows how he will fit in with our team until he gets here and practices with them. If he looks good in practice, does the things we need to see, clicks on a line with someone and clearly is an upgrade on someone else, then obviously he'll play. |

1) He's 21, not really rushing him, Murray wanted him here this year
2) He has far more scoring potential than Condra, Winchester, Daugavins, Konopka
3) He will be a relative unknown to the competition
4) We need goals
5) Even if he doesn't produce the experience of playing in the NHL playoffs is invaluable.
Just my 2 cents, I certainly won't be upset if he doesn't get called up. |

i'm beyond stoked for this guy to join our team, but i'm not sure that you want the kids first nhl experience to be in what has, so far, been a pretty brutal series. it's a lot of pressure to put on the kid, and if he doesn't do well, it might hurt his confidence. right now, he's flying as high as a player his age could. let him enjoy his championship, go tear it up at the WHC, and come to camp next year, ready to kick some ass. there's no need to rush a player, especially one who probably won't make much of a difference in this series...IMO
that being said, that's some pretty awesome praise for silfverberg coming from forsberg. can't wait to see what this kid can do. anohter beauty draft pick by murray. |

Ny,s defense will chew him up right now,he is an nhl ready prospect I agree. But to throw him into the fire like this just doesnt seem prudent, let him have his fun in sweden and come to our camp next year brimming with confidence to take a place in the top 6 |

No different than they are chewing up our players right now. If the point is to win in the playoffs, we have to use the players that we believe will help us do that. If he can help us win, I say we use him. My guess is he would have been here already if it wasn't for the fact they lost game 4 the other day. Without Alfie right now, we need some scoring. |

Whatever happened to that other can't miss star (next Lidstrom) David Rundblad? - Reveen I don't recall anyone who is older than 12 saying he was the next Lidstrom, but he is just putting in the work in the AHL this year to ready himself for the NHL next year. He'll be a player, i'm not concerned. Too much there to not be a good D.

You have to think outside the box. Goaltending battles can be entertaining too. |
