It was an entertaining game. The crowd seemed pretty into it as well, which plays into my belief is that you sell the game first and foremost by winning. That's how all the "traditional" markets got started. If the likes of the Canadiens, Maple Leafs, etc. didn't win cups, even if only in the days of the Original Six, not too many people would care. It's no different than in any other sport.

Yes.... The problem is, and will allways be that none of the populated hockey markets care. That's ok for various teams such as the Canucks who are "hated" by all yet still have a local fan base in the millions. If nobody gives a frank in Phoenix how do you expect anyone else too. Even if the yotes win the cup playing the most entertaining hockey of all time they will still have the lowest ratings of all time in the SCF finals along with a cup parade in which 2000 people show up at most.

Nobody cares, including the so called fan base.
The league basically pays for half the team with the unhappy tax payers dishing out the rest.

Wow, another stuck up Vancouver fan who doesn't know WTF they are talking about. That crowd was electric tonight. The first 10 minutes of the 9oclock news was dedicated to the win.

While it's true the Coyotes have been a hard sell because they made a ton of wrong turns ovr the years, the fact remains that there are a ton of hockeyfans in the valley. I'm just glad it's all coming together.
