Adam French: Blackout's and Games: Some Russian Draft Content - AdamFrench Talk about fortuitous bounces. Doans was pretty similar with a luck deflection off Josi's stick off of Rinne. Similar to the two in game three. Hard work by all cause them though. Another waved off goal. Wow. Would be an interesting series if these actually stand as they should. Oh well. Pho wants it more than NSH. Hoping Monday is actually competitive. We will see soon.

Even game's one and two, bounces all over, though with the higher scores things are less analyzed. It's been a series of blink and you die. |

Great info and insight. Hope to see it for another week talking about Preds/Pho though! I could see a 5-2 game in Preds favor Monday night as well as a 3-1 game in Pho favor. I do believe, unlike last night for some god awful reason, that the Preds will be flying around. Wilson finally unleashed from Trotz doghouse. Rads will by playing pissed and for a contract.

I've always loved Wilson, good player with some nice size. I'm still wondering why Craig Smith is scratched. I know he's a rookie and had a massive cold spell, but the kid has some major talent and more importantly speed. After seeing Rads pissed in the playoffs in the KHL and even at other times I would play him. A-Tits seems like an idiot, but Rads has that killer instinct and has shown it in the past. I think some people need to point some fingers at Mr. Underwood on Nashville's side. As for the Coyotes, I love Smith, but you guys have him figured out on his plays with the puck unlike any team before due to the intense forecheck, he needs to be more careful. |

I think our problem actually is we have too much depth if that can be said. Too many decisions of who to play or sit. I agree with Fisher and Legwand for that matter. But they are the top centers which is a position we kinda lack. Wilson could play center but hasnt in a long time. Spaling and Gaustad arent good enough to be on the top 2 lines as the center so that leaves them. I could see fisher actually being hurt once the series is done, no disrespect to the coyotes. He just doesnt look right. We have a great core of talent but Im afraid it will be all sold in the offseason. This mightve been it. Going up against Smith when hes found this ungodly gear was not a good recipe for the Preds. Losing game one like we did after 8 days off hurt too. I think we win that game. the Preds take it pretty solidly. However, that didnt happen and our confidence was shot somehow. Its unfortunate but a good story for yall of course.

Good Blog Adam, were those russians rated in terms of skill, or you just named them like that. |

Anything can happen. Systems on systems. It's taking the lead that seems to be the key between both sides, they both thrive off the lead and forcing mistakes. It showed mostly in Nashville where the mistakes were fewer but amazing goaltending/timeliness saved both squads. |

Personally, I would draft 1. Vasilevski, 2. Slepyshev, 3. Prokhorkin (Steal if past the third so much talent) 4. Yakimov (Big riser and massive), 5. Gusev (Ultra skill and a last chance at getting him before he likely becomes a KHL for lifer), 6. Osnovin (Incosistent), 7. Krutikov, 8. Filipov, 9. Vasilyev (Defensive defenders that are Russian in the NHL = one, most will stay for more money and a bigger role then 5-6 dmen). |

I rarely post any comments but just want you to know that I absolutely love your blogs on Russian prospects. Thank you for great work!
At the same time, Adam, I'm a little bit surprised with you being angry/sarcastic about all the playoffs predictions! There is nothing wrong with betting on a more "famous", better established team. I'm ok with all the experts' predictions because let's be honest here..NO ONE expected for Phoenix to go that far! And that is the true beauty of hockey! |

Bitter mate, I understand it well and I myself had "shocker" Rangers/Predators, I just like matchups and I play them often...sometimes to my fantasy leagues death (Riding Quick and Holtby now ). Thanks for the words on the prospect stuff, will have more with Huddle and probably a few others after the Coyotes are done (Whatever level that is). |

Frenchie: is it safe to say that if someone predicted an LA-Pheonix WFC at the start of the playoffs, theyd have been called crazy? Methinks so! Congratz on all but locking this series up. |

Yes I think so (Anton Zlobin), rough first year in the Q screwed him over. The guy has a ton of skill and a top notch shot. This seems to be the year of the overager. Many in the late first - early second are guys passed over. |

He'll get a $2500 fine, which should then go to Ray Whitney for bending over the boards and helping Halischuk back onto his feet. |
