No dominant team out there? I'd consider the LA Kings pretty dominant. Beaten the 1 and 2 seeds in the West with a record of 8-1. Quick is absolutely stoning everything in sight and the offense is showing what it's capable of. No dominant team....... |

team lacks heart and the lack of a captain proves you cant win long term without one on the active roster

There's no puck support for Philly. The Flyers acutally occasionally win one on one battles. But there is always another Devil right there to grab the puck.
They need to stop trying to be harder and faster (well... no they need to keep that up) but they need to support each other getting the puck out of the corners and into scoring position. Step up on some guys rather than backing off all the time. |

Tim - While nothing you have said in this article is untrue, the fact that you have so completely given up on the Flyers makes you an embarrassment to the media covering the Flyers. I am shocked - especially given the number of times they have come back this season and in the playoffs in the past.
I don't disagree that it is a high mountain to climb and they haven't looked up to the task in the past 3 games but I would expect more from a writer for the Flyers. (this reads like a NJ journalist wrote it) Very disappointing!! |

Beating the Pens was the Flyers Stanley Cup, thats all they will win this year, sorry. Next year they will go further, especially if they get (positive)consistency from a goalie. |

bryz has done a very nice job in this series. the team in front of him has fallen apart and have been outclassed all over the ice. this isn't on the goalie.
too bad the panthers couldn't eliminate the devils in 2 opportunities. |

So when the Flyers come back and win the series do everyone a favor and stop writing about them since you have already written the team off.

Bryzgalov is the only reason the Flyers have been in any of these games.
They need to simplify their game. They are trying to do too much, be too cute. They are making too many mistakes in their own zone because of their puck management. And those mistakes are wearing them out.

What a joke!
I don't disagree that NORMALLY that should be 1 game....
HOWEVER,
How is it ANY different than the 2 hits Malkin delivered to Grossmann and Courtier? NO
How is it worse than Neil leaving his feet to deliver a hit to the head of Courtier? [he just "jumped" to brace for the hit] Not even as bad.
How is it any different that Ovechkin's jumping hit to the head the other night? Giroux didn't leave his feet.
All those are OK... and by the TOP stars in the NHL.
Grioux is right up on there and an elimination game. He is also not a repeat offender.
He should have gotten a fine. That is all!
Shanny you are a JOKE. |

Fair suspension, but real bad timing for the Flyers. They can still win this series though, I don't count them out. |

I gotta give credit where credit is due
Bryz I believe is the only goalie to wear equipment to an adequate size - he does not look like a Michelin man out there - goalies in the NHL that look like lacrosse goalies should follow Bryz's equipment standard |

Goaltending is not the reason the Flyers are losing this series. They have been outplayed in every area of the game. Bryz has been solid for them, probably has been one of their best player in the series. |

I just can't count them out yet, this is just the kind of game where they'll win it without Giroux, then it's a series again |

Dang. I was hoping he wouldn't be suspended. Don't need sometihng for the Flyers to rally around. The Devils have been the ones in this series feeling like the under dog and the chip on their shoulder. This suspension changes that. |

I Agree with the above. Tim has pointed out some obvious points but a philadelphia writer, writing about this particular team who has shown more resilience than any I have seen in a long time, with such a guaranteed "it's over" attitude SUCKS. Tim what happened to you. |
