Doesn't Vancouver have the 22nd pick because they lost in the first round? Shouldn't 26 be the Blues? |

I think he has more 3 or 4 in his game than 2 or 3. He's a very smart player, especially picking up coverage and trailers. I like Laughton for that but he doesn't really come off as a real impact top 6 forward type to me at all because the offense isn't overly apparent on a team that has some serious high powered skilled wingers to play with him.
Guys like him will head to pro with the hope to be a guy that a team can count on to play 12-16 meaningful shutdown minutes, be responsible and control the puck in the offensive zone by hard work and determination. Be on one of the top 2 PK units, take meaningful draws and being on the ice to defend a 1 goal lead with a minute left. Thats where I see him fitting in.
I'd happily take him on the 67s next year though... |

I would have agreed with you until I saw the U-18's. He really impressed me offensively in the tournament, with some slick moves. For all the 'talent' in Oshawa, they reeeeeally haven't developed some of the guys to the best of their abilities this past year. I think he's on the up-and-up. |

No chance the Canucks pick him. They'll take the faller or the player with the highest ceiling for them to develop. |

At the end of the day I'm putting 30 names into a hat to give people a closer look at 30 potential first rounders. That's the series is for. |

I don't understand how Jensen only had 25 goals in Oshawa and than went to the AHL and scored 6 goals in 8 games. Is there something seriously wrong with the Generals program? I think the Canucks will stay as far away from Oshawa as possible. With the amount of Swedes projected in the late rounds, I bet the Canucks will take one. They love their swedes. |

The team just did not look good any time I saw them. They showed very little fire and generally couldn't complete even the simplest of breakouts without turning the puck over. I think that wore them down and there was a defeated locker room for much of the year.
They just replaced a lot of the Staff, so we could see a change there next year. And they're adding Tyler Biggs to the team (likely to play on Laughton's wing).

So many times they'd react to something and try and get even, at the expense of their own team. When a team looks and plays like that, there is obviously a structure issue.

Most of Oshawa's top offensive players underachieved this season. Thomas and Andreoff regressed (statistically), and others like Jensen, Jenner, and Lessio all failed to improve as expected. This may be evidence of some other issues (coaching, system, injuries, etc.) that could have affected offensive output of some players.
Jensen played pretty well in a minor role as soon as he jumped up to the Wolves (6g in 8 gp). Something seemed amiss with the Generals this season. |

Only the final four get their picks dropped to...the final four lol
Huddle's order is bang on (except it looks like Jersey might be heading to the 29th overall pick now, not the Rangers). Jersey finished with more points than Phoenix although they were a lesser seed.
It then goes by league standings after the final four. The president's trophy winner can't drop lower than the 26th overall pick. Vancouver 26, St.Louis will be 25, Pittsburgh 24, so on,so forth.
Now that I look at the standings. Tampa Bay is getting the 19th overall pick for Steve Downie. Yzerman knows he has to rebuild and Id say that a decent return. With his 10th overall and his three 2nd round picks, Tampa could even be a darkhorse to move up in the draft. But, he probably won't cause he can get his player at 10 and most likely snag a goalie at 19. Whether it's the russian kid or jumping on Malcolm Subban earlier than expected. |

Marcantuoni -- decent pick later (3rd/4th round), but he's a huge ? mark. A lot of injuries, plays with a reckless abandon at times, too. Reminds me of Matthew Lombardi (before Toronto).

At times. Obviously lineups change, but Jensen played with him at times, and Jenner at others. |

OK but at 21 when Buf picks, that name better start with Henrik. . . If not pick again. |

Do you think he is available at 21? Or is his stock rising to the early teens? |
