I like Wellwood, and think he has a place on the team as a 4th line/energy guy/pk'er.
I still think this team needs a lumberjack on defense and a big defensive oriented winger/forward.
I would be happy with those two acquisitions. I feel like they can win with the roster they ended the season with if they tweak it a little by adding the above mentioned pieces.
Wouldnt mind someone like Burish on a cheap 1 or 2 year deal, plug him into the 4th line. After the Pens series I hate Asham, but I really enjoyed what he brought to our team when we had him, I think Burish is similar to him.
If* the Flyers do end up trading for Weber, I would like to see Kyle Wellwood come join his brother. Who know what kind of Chemistry they could develop. If* the current rumor of JVR, Voracek, Bourdon and 2 firsts is true (and I do it in a second) we will need to pick up at least 1 winger, and resign Jagr.
Gotta go with Wellwood....there were a few times while he was on the PK that his spped was forcing opposing D-men to make faster passes and force the puck a bit more. There were also times when he straight out beat players into the zone and forcheck on the PK.....That kid is FAST. My only knock on him is I feel like his feet/legs are moving faster thank his brain/hands....his legs seem to be ahead of his stickhandling and shooting....but that will come as he plays more.
Rick Nash will be playing for the St. Louis Blues. Mark it down. - The_Universe
Naww i see the Rangers wrecking their chemistry to get him just so he doesnt goto the flyers...I would love to see what happens between Nash and Torts when Torts benches Nash for not blocking shots. LOL

Burish is the better player at this stage of their respective careers. He's younger, smarter/savvier than Asham on the ice, and comes without any off-ice concerns. Asham is the better fighter, though.
Things aren't moving too swiftly right now. We'll see though. That could all change if Sniders gets what he wants. - LordStanley88
Snider always gets what he wants! Thats why i love/hate him. Either way guys we are lucky as our team with the exception of a few years is always competitive. Well get the cup one year! Imagine being a TML fan!
