so this morning as I was on my morning bicycle ride, I was thinking about the site and some of the posts. And since I was heading downtown for breakfast, I decided to go a little out of my way to quell one of the most common Trade Deadline and UFA day misconceptions.
So this is a Capt12 people, confirmed with MY own 2 eyes...
DARCY REGIER IS AT THE ARENA!!
He was getting his briefcase out of his SUV literally as I rode by. Plus I passed Lindy coming down Michigan Ave.
So at least we know hes in the building. (and hopefully heading to Toronto) |

I really gotta hand it to them. With the winning attitude Pegula promotes, Ruff and Regier get down to business. Hopefull the injury bug was the excuse last year. Hopefull they can have the best friends Parise and Stafford on the same team and training in the off season. |

And so the conspiracy begins......
Was it really him?
Was it a robot?
Or maybe even an alien? |

Buffalo's own pick was #12. The Goose pick from Nashville was #21. Do you ever proofread what you write Garth? |

I hate to point this out but the Sabres 12 overall pick was there own pick
they got the #21 for Gaustad
the Sabres earned the right to pick 12th by not showing up for half the season |

tdon't know if you are being sarcastic but that would be a great choice by Darcy, Parise is going to get way overpaid and he is not going to make the current Sabres a Stanley Cup team |

He owns the PEGULA-COPTOR... They can be there in 30 minutes... Id rather have Stafford and Pegula himself there to offer the contract anyways... But hopefully the coptor touches off at 11 on its way north...
Would be pretty cool to watch it land in the street right in front of the Agent's office live on NHL network, haha... |

#NHL teams presenting will also be asked to pay 2nd 12M SB to Parise next July 1st. That's 24M guaranteed over 1 yr Nice eh.
So I figure T peg should bring the cash and dump it in front of him like the world series of poker and say, "come to Buffalo" |

I disagree about this. Very rarely does a talent like Parise with still half of his career to still play out hit the market. With so many players re-signing these days I would jump all over getting Parise. He's a top 10 player in the NHL IMO. Seeing him live is pretty awesome and I saw almost every player in the league in person last year. |

I don't disagree on Parise being a talent but it's a cap world and unfortunetly Darcys previous contract gafts (overpaying Miller, Pomminville, allowing EDM to set the market for Vanek) have put the Sabres in a tight cap position
IMO, Parise is a luxury that the Sabres can't afford now or in the future years of the deal he will get |
|
|
|
"Pegula can afford Parise's bonus"
Who cares? If you count up all of last years wasted money buried in Rochester we had a payroll of like 80 something Million and still didn't make playoffs. I dont care about being the winner July 1st. It doesn't mean crap. |
