They say that life's a carousel Spinning fast, you've got to ride it wellThe world is full of Kings and QueensWho blind your eyes then steal your dreams...it's Heaven and Hell, oh well
And they'll tell you black is really whiteThe moon is just the sun at nightAnd when you walk in golden hallsYou get to keep the gold that falls

Cuz this is so much cooler than my avatar. - IronMaidnick
Black Sabbath totally sucks. It's not like they paved the road for British heavy metal acts like Iron Maiden or anything. Or any other metal band to ever exist.

HAHAHAHA
Please look up your metal history lad.
I know you are just a youngin, but Maiden was around before Sabbath. As was Priest before Sabbath.
Burke has provided a basement dweller. Praise him as a Pope. We know you support basement dwellers.
Please, before you respond, sit back and try to process that you're trying to rip Clark and Gilmour while claiming to be a Leafs fan and yet in some demented, twisted way, have found a way to praise Burke as a Pope. - Unholy_Goalie
I'm not ripping clark and gilmour...i'm simply pointing out that it's ironic for someone who constantly accuses people of supporting mediocrity to have an avatar of a couple of guys who never won a cup for this franchise....
based on your reactions though....i think i may have struck a cord...

It's cool that you praise Pope Burke and rip Clark and Gilmour.

Nope. Sabbath were the first. - Timeforsoup
Black Sabbath had an album out 5 years before Iron Maiden was even formed and 10 full years before Iron Maiden even released an album. A grand total of 8 albums before Iron Maiden even made one.

Sorry buck, wrong once again.
As you have dates of formation, Maiden brought metal mainstream long before sabbath did. Ass Sabbath was way to dark for most.
Like I said, Maiden paved Sabbath - IronMaidnick

No one calls Sabbath the godfathers. - IronMaidnick
Paranoid was a #1 album in 1970 in the UK.
But yeah, they totally had to wait for Iron Maiden to have an album in 1980 before they were mainstream. Black Sabbath was "way too dark" to be mainstream and #1 in 1970.
