It is a good contract. Perfect actually. But Jones is very close. He's a better defender, slightly worse offensively.

Fair enough but I am happy with the deal at $5.4 million. Like you said earlier, it's just too bad they couldn't come to this agreement the day after Jones did with Columbus!

I do numbers .. Questioned the teller at the bank. handed me my deposit receipt. Total looked low and somethin else was wrong. Went to truck and grabbed last weeks deposit receipt and sure enough. she put in wrong account number from mine. Back in line and got it fixed.

Both Jones and Risto played for bad teams this past year in the role as a #1.

Risto was better on the PP, Jones was much, much better in terms of possession.

At even strength, both are relatively the same offensively.

Risto at .78 points per 60 min
Jones at .74 points per 60 min.

If Risto reaches Hamiltons level of production at a younger age he has greater potential than Hamilton and is worth more.

If Risto can sustain a higher level of production than Jones over far higher TOI he produces more over his contract, and is worth more?

As a frequent guest at Holiday Inn Express, you should know better than that. There's only one way to look at things. And that's obviously the negative way.

Generalfanager and capfriendly still have the Pens over the cap by ~$3M. And that's with all their IR guys.

Edit: Never mind generalfanager screwed up. They have them at 24 on the roster. And capfriendly hasn't factored in the IR yet.

Came in just under the wire in HBSL. Only $234,583 left over.
