I think this is on upper management to get these young guys to understand and buy into the process. Toronto did it a few years ago and kept all their young guys on the Marlies and won a Calder cup.
I think Kratsov was more cultural than actual playing...i mean the dude had trouble going to get a haircut. Shesty is bit older and should be better able to handle the cultural changes as well as understanding his place in the organization. - climbdenali12
I hope so, time will tell. |

Another thing I think to consider with Hank is his win total. He is now at 453 wins. I think it would be reasonable to figure that he would end his contract next season just shy of 500 wins. Would the Rangers bring him back on a one year deal if he was 3 or 4 wins away from that mark?
Should they? |

My first thought was, God no. But it's an interesting point. IF he understands he'll play 20-30 games, and here's the big issue, what kind of money? If resonable, why not, theryre going to have to bring some other backup in anyway. I doubt he does it, ego to big. (Understandably)

I am certain they would. One year at $1M or so as a backup. If it's for insurance reasons in case AG or Shesty are not cutting it as the #1, then it will cost a bit more to do so. But I see it happening. As we saw last night, a rested Hank can do wonders...not sure if that will hold true in two years, though. |

I would have no issue with Hank as the backup. But he has to want that. I think that if he could adjust to that role he actually might be a great backup. |

Rather than change that goal, they should change the third star of the game...what a joke...hometown selection on an oopsie goal. If you needed to pick a hometown star of the game, at least give it to Hamilton who had a fantastic deflection (by him, not a Ranger) goal... |

Is there going to be another serviceable goalie coming up after they deal one of Shestyorkin or Georgiev? I am talking an NHL caliber backup. |

That depends, which type of goalies do you typically like to service? |

never know if they take back one in the trade
like, say, they traded Georgiev to the Leafs, Hutchinson could come back in the deal, that kind of thing |

Stumbled on to this video. It's really cool, even though it's too long to watch the whole thing (at least at work!)
Thought some of you might find it interesting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a3w8I8boc_I - Tonybere
