What about him?
The Capitals are pretty much the same before and after him. He is probably an adequate NHL coach who basically gets the results you'd expect to see from the team he inherits on paper.
Great coaches make their groups greater than the sum of their parts. Bad coaches make their teams worse than on paper. Average ones just get the results you'd expect to see with the group they have.
Carlyle tends to have a pretty short shelf life, I'm guessing. He starts to hinder his team if he hangs around too long.
They tune him out. |
