Ryan for me. Great flic. Loved Band of Brothers too. - BingoLady
the thin red line for me. sure it's funny that every soldier is a budding philosopher in the voice-overs but questioning life when confronted with death works so damn well. since it's a malick film it's pure eye candy also and it features zimmer's best score.
saving private ryan is a really good war movie but it's pretty one dimensional compared to the thin red line imo.
band of brothers was a great series too. i recently started watching it again for the first time since it first came out. i'm up to the 3rd episode.

Can't wait for this.
The Mighty Eighth - TV Series
Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks and HBO are set to re-team on a third WWII mini-series, this time revolving around the Air Force.
The power-house producers previously had success with Band of Brothers in 2001 and The Pacific in 2010.
The source material this time around will be Donald L. Miller’s non-fiction book Masters of the Air: America’s Bomber Boys Who Fought the War Against Nazi Germany

I haven't even seen The Pacific yet. I've been meaning to pick up the blu ray set.
