I don’t. But in two and a half years I haven’t seen the improvement in his conditioning that we’ve seen from - for example - Tage. - Der Kaiser
He played a year and a half with the Sabres, and I agree, he was sucking wind a lot. He's carrying 200+ lbs playing a game that's twice as fast, or more, than he played in college. Huge jump that he may have misjudged by leaving college after his freshman year |
|
|
|
But if he could bring a piece back that can help the Sabres know, I would move him in a second. - Buff36
Agreed. |

I don't mind it. The NBA is supposedly talking about doing something similar in Vegas.
Playing in front of few or no fans will be strange, but let's be honest, most of us only watch on TV anymore anyway. We would get used to it.
Either way, the reality is that we will probably be seeing games played without fans whenever sports start up again. - buffalofan19
Tbh, I haven't missed it all that much. If the Sabres were playoff bound, or in the midst of a strong push, it may be different.
I'll watch both leagues if they do that and see what it's like |

It’s a fallacy that well liquor gives u a worse hangover than top shelf
It’s been scientifically proven to not make a difference - jdfitz77
Like everything, absolutisms are usually incorrect.
I personally know more than one person that has some kind of physical skin reaction to low end vodka. I don't know what it is in the well vodka there but they do not have a reaction with high end. |

I think the biggest contributing factor to hangovers is the amount of alcohol consumption.
Just a thought. |

How do you know all that without being in the locker room? - Michael Pachla
Gerbe says it repeatedly, lol.
Seriously, if we held all post to that standard the posts would be blank.
My post stated IMO, so it is my opinion, based on observations of the final results displayed during the games. Maybe my chair isn't close enough to my TV screen, or I need to upgrade to a 75" TV, lol.
For instance;
- his skating doesn't seem to have improved over 2 full years and offseasons. Antedotal for sure, but Cozens has stated his workouts last year in which he was able to only train on his lower body resulted in a more explosive step. I have read similar statements in updated scouting reports over the year.
- he continues to look very weak along the boards, constantly getting knocked if the puck. Now he has won battles along the board using finesse and stick work, but when it gets physical he simply can't compete. I remember thinking of that just before he was sent down, so pretty recently. He is 21 now, not 17 or 18.
- over the past 2 seasons, his game hasn't improved, again IMO. It does not appear to me that he is improving at all, so is he really focused? Admittedly, this also ventures into Hockey IQ/Sense as well ... yet he was a dynamo in WJ20 against peers with less complete games, so I'm not sure the practices are effective for him...is it him or the coaches?
That what I got, it forms the basis for my comment. |

I agree, biggest factor is amount of alcohol. That said, there are other factors that make a difference. For example, I get a much worse hangover from IPAs or red wine for example, than I do if I'm drinking Titos and soda all night. Additionally, I'm convinced different alcohol can cause different effects on people, their mood etc. Whiskey often = fighting. Tequila = clothes on the floor.... |

I'm with you. Stella gives me the worst headache for some reason. Getting back to the original point, when drinking vodka with a mixer like 7 up or cranberry, its difficult if not impossible to tell the difference between a well, call or premium vodka |

on the casey front
remember he looked decent at the end of 2018-19 when playing with pommer and skinner
and getting pp time
the coaches, ralph and phil didn't do casey any favors for the most part either
you don't treat casey like you do a lazar or a scott wilson
you surround him with talent |

How do we know he hasn't? - Michael Pachla
I have talked to the guys he cares more about video games then working out
Jack has called him out many times and tried working out with but doesn't take the diet part seriously at all
He thinks you can work and just eat the same poop and the results will happen |

skunk was sent to the minors after a nine-game stint...when he came back he struggled until Bylsma put him in front of the net on the powerplay...he was also moved to wing because he couldn't handle the center position and played almost exclusively with ror and jack...
mitts reminds me of him in that he has nhl speed, but isn't blazing (he's faster than skunk, imo,) is weak in the corners and on the puck and needs to develop physically...
the difference between the two is skunks hockey IQ which enables him to rise above those areas...mitts doesn't have an IQ on that level |
