i think he messed with the Montreal Canadiens. nobody messes with them.

How many more f'n years is Cooke going to be shoved down Pens fans' throats whenever this sort of topic is brought up? He's been out of the NHL for 3 years; hasn't been a Pen since 2012-13, and many Pens fans despised his shenanigans.

Performance enhancers should be allowed anyway. Natural is so boring.

Good point on calling out Wilson for headhunting and getting a couple games. Nate gets 20 and I personally believe this could have been handled differently. I agree that rules are rules but honestly for every rule there can be an exception. I suspect Nate is innocent.

These tests and their policies are a difficult thing. With a formal education in these matters, I believe Nate Schmidt. To have that trace amount of a banned substance in your system is not indicative that you used intentionally, but regardless it is there. Unfortunately, the policies among these professional sports leagues is basically zero tolerance only because if they allowed smaller thjngs to slide, then other players would try to appeal on these notions and or beat the system. I wish I knew what the substance was because it could be anything. And for the guy who called this TRUMPISM or whatever the phrase was, that’s ridiculous. These league policies are based on nothing more than overreaction from the media and fan bases over several years to include Major League Baseball, Lance Armstrong, etc... No league wants any bad PR that comes with calling their sport dirty or their players cheaters.

Irrelevant, that was then and this is now. Wilson is doing this in modern day hockey when almost anything physical is a no no. Wilson will be on a very short leash from here on in. Every opponent has to worry about this killer bee.

I believe him too and he should have been called in and severely warned and retested. Now his career may or may not be tainted over a potential error. Like many have stated this is a minor deal and could have been avoided.

Like many things in life, it is hard to know what to feel.

If he truly was/is not using anything illegal, and it entered via ??? Other means, then you want his name cleared. If he did use and thought all would be out of system by now, but it wasn't..... You want him to be caught and pay the price.

Unfortunately, we will never know for sure. You either believe him or don't. I think the league has to be consistent with its rules, especially regarding performance enhancements and medication.

If they choose to believe him, then they are in a bind next time someone else has something found and "swears" they didn't do anything.
