Karine Hains: In Hainsight: Gervais and Brunet Strike Again After the success of former equipment manager Pierre Gervais and journalist Mathias Brunet’s first book was so well received, the duo decided to write another one and it’s just as good as the first.

On part of the book cracked me up, they tell us that an American player who spent three years in Montreal was systematically taking the Canadian flag off of his equipment pieces when he received it. Gervais once asked why he did that, and he stayed stern faced without answering. They didn’t want to reveal his identity but did say that he spent three seasons in Montreal, that it didn’t go very well and that a young defenseman was sacrificed to get him…let’s just say that it’s not a hard trivia question at all.

damn, I knew I was horrible at trivia but I'm not sure who we're talking about here lol...

He plays very physical and he is 34yrs old, tons on mileage on his body. Injuries are taking their toll. He spent his whole career in the plus (+228), pretty good a D.

yeah, I think we would hear more about him if he was still on a contender

pretty much a ok team but noting more, like the Wild

even Josi can get somewhat overlook because of his beige team

anyway he had a good career

Yeah who cares if the other team scores more goals than your's when you play. How is that relevant?

on a game basis it is not always a good indicator but career wise, it shows the guy is impacting positively his team.

How about Ngannou with the knockdown on Fury this weekend? Not a big fan of those crossover matchs but I love Ngannou so I watched it.

Nah, it will continue in november but will go off the rails in late december when Anderson, Guhle, Matheson and Monahan get injured 6-8 years.
