We can stop making excuses for Spencer Knight. if he is so great of a prospect, let him start three or four games in a row and let see what the final tally is. So far, the last two starts have been lost causes. The reason for odd man breakaways is that the Panthers have a tendency to pinch in the offensive zone. Other teams realize they do this and have cherry pickers playing behind the defense and then it's off to the races. The Panthers are not a team built on speed, so it should necessitate that two defensemen always play behind so as to negate any of these breakaways because Knight always get tried like a free sample at Publix and gets easily deked. |
