That'd be so dumb. As everyone has said a million times: Eberle, Yakupov, and prospects should be their only real pieces in a trade. - Springsteen

I just wish we could make up a symbol to use in place of "Taylor Hall", like what was done for Anson Carter. Until then, I can't take things serious. I KNOW you are serious when symbols are involved!!!!

For hall they would ask for something crazy like Hamilton, Subban, prospect and a 1st...
Aka, not worth it. Not sure I trade Hamilton straight up for Hall... Yes, hall is a better player, but top pairing Dmen don't grow on trees, especially ones that are early 20's and already a top pairing Dman, with Chara older why would they ever move Dougie. I think Hamilton is pretty much unmovable.
Bruins could realistically offer Subban, Khoklachev, Krug and a 1st or something like that most likely, which likely doesn't get it done - MrBeanTown

I think Eberle would be a better move for a team like the Penguins.
I wouldnt trade either Pouliot or Maatta for Hall. Hall is a great player who would light it up on Crosby's line. But to me, you hold on to your #1 potential dmen. You have 3 years of DP on ELC and 1 of Maatta, don't underestimate how important that is to competing for a Cup consistently.
To me, either Hall doesnt get traded or he does for no where near what Oilers fans think he will be traded for. |

Hall will stay put for sure. One of the lone bright spots on a struggling team. I thought with another losing season he might want out, but he says all the right things in the media and has matured on the ice (i.e. keeping his emotions in check) |

I'm not knocking Hall at all.
But Hamilton is very arguably a 1st pairing D-man, not sure how you can label Subban "nothing more than a backup" at 20, and as much as I like Hall, I don't think "only scratching the surface of his potential" is an accurate description. Could he still get better? Of course, but he's not exactly underachieving, and in my opinion I don't see him putting up another 20-25 goals and 40+ pts on top of what he already brings (which is extremely impressive as it is). |
