hang in there, I was going to be married for the first time last year..my ex took off with my truck 2 days before we were going on vacation and the Cops found her on the street 11 days later stoned on crack..she came back and tried to get clean again and took off again..I met her in recovery, she had 11 months clean at one time..she went out again and nobody has seen her in 4 months now and my feel is that she will turn up dead by August, I've seen it too many times in AA ..but I stayed sober and I am still ready for the playoffs ..life goes on buddy
the worst part of all this mess is that my Daughter was close to her and her Mom died of an overdose in 1997, so it was a sad Christmas but we got through it..good luck

thanks..but it's really all good bud, it was heartbreaking but I have no control over somebody else's sobriety..that is between her and God..I had a sponsee hang himself and another one who is 12 years sober now..AA is a numbers game..I hope she makes it back, but I don't like her odds..she is blinded by pride this girl..I am not about to throw away for any woman the time I have put together sober..not a chance..well, maybe for this girl I might be flexible!!

Life can be hard, I've only really fully understood how hard it really can be these last few days. It's comforting to know that people I have never met and probably never will meet is there to give some sort of comfort. Anyway like I said earlier, I hope that everything goes well for you.

I met a girl and proposed and she accepted. The next day I walked in on her in bed with my brother. Infuriated, I got into a fight with both of them and I ended up being thrown out of a window - I fell 2 stories and broke my neck. I am paralyzed from the groin down now. I was promptly fired from my job as a fireman and am now on social security. Last week my landlord informed me that I was being evicted for obsence odors being emitted from my apartment. I have been unable to secure new housing and hence am preparing a cardboard box type shack that I will be able to transport and move daily. No worries though, things could be worse....
