You will get bombarded with people saying how stupid your proposal is.

Habs will not get a top talent for crap.

Swap it around, would you do Bryan Little+Clitsome+2rd pick and prospect ( no one too highclass ) for Pacioretty?

Having said that, I don't think it's going to take Pleks+Tinordi+1st type of deal to get Kane either.

It all depends on how teams value Eller. MB said that hwen he first took over the team, he fielded more calls re: Eller than any other player on his roster. Did the start of last season and playoffs up his value or did the mid season suckage ruin in?

Eller, 1st in 2016, Patyrn and a project prospect (thrower?) might work if the Jets see Eller as a potential second line center. That said, I don't think the Jets need centers at this point and would probably prefer Gallagher which I would be okay with given the package Kane represents.

I don't think any team trades for Bourque despite the first round performance.

I've had some crazy ideas (wishes) for the Habs, but that may take the cake right there.

and just to debate another topic on your post, if the habs play the lineup you proposed, it will be a long season my friend!

Cheers

Everyone said that and more last summer. Nice contribution to the thread though.

Cheers.

If Jets and Habs trade then I am sure Tinordi will be included which really sucks. I would like to see something like Thrower, Eller, Bourque and pick but as pointed out, why would Winnipeg do that.

Personally I think the answer for Habs is Chicago. They are over the cap and absolutely must shed about $3 million in salary. Go hard after Sharp.

Bourque has negative value to most teams in the league. Take him out and add in Patyrn and you have the new "Ryder, Halak, and a 2nd" that was traded for every player in the league.

Someone will give up at 1st in 2015 for Kane. While you'd hate to miss out on the first round of this draft, Kane is already deserving of it so omeone will be fine doing so.

honestly though, looking back on it, that would've turned out to be a pretty fair deal for most of the players people were proposing that package for.

It would have been if Ryder wasn't the most useless 30 goal scorer since Anson Carter (he had already scored 30 and was just about to become a healthy scratch) and if Halak wasn't an injury-prone 1a goalie who can't handle the starter's workload and has done next to nothing since his one playoff run in which the whole team in front of him played the best hockey of their careers yet he gets all the credit and if 2nd rounders weren't crap shoots. Then, yes, it would have been worth it for any team in the league to give up their star forward.

If Eller fully pans out, Patyrn reaches full potential as a bottom 3 dman, Thrower actually makes the NHL (I doubt it) then yea, it'd be worth it for a team to give up a 22 year old potential 40 goal scorer. No, wait....

fair enough. Marleau/Thornton probably would be mighty good returns. That Vinny contract was spectacularly dumb at the time...
