It's a way better time right now to be a sharks blogger, and fan, than a ducks one.

If Tavares comes to SJ and Logan signs his new deal, Sharks have to consider what Pavelski could fetch. I love little Joe but I haven’t heard deal rumblings and I think Hertl and honestly Tierney need to get reasonable extensions. I absolutely hate the thought of Pavelski somewhere else but if Taveras comes, you gotta think about it. To soften the blow, bring back Jumbo on a one year retirement victory tour. Thornton does not have 3 great years left at most. His body has said, time to take a victory lap and perhaps with that cup.

Sure will be tough. I assume Pavekski is gone unfortunately. Going to be tough to sign players when JT possibly at 12 couture at 8 Kane 7. Hertl will get probably 6/6 Miere maybe 3-4/4 donskoi maybe 2 tierney maybe 2-3. That leaves roughly around 5-7 million left. I think Pavs is the odd man out unless SJ gets rid of 2-3 players. Which I think would be dumb.

I understand the rest would be role players but they still need to be good role players to win. I don’t think sharks have a very good prospect pool now with the good ones in the NHL.

Not going to lie though JT on the Sharks is scary good but for how long? I’d say definitely next year but 2-3 years of the same sharks the following years definitely without Pavelski.

So....you gays couldn’t win the cup with Thornton and Marleau leading the hunt, do you really think Tavares and Kane are better options?

Not a SJS fan but I think their best shot is next year. After that doesn’t look very good.

I like the goalie, defence is pretty good/above average, like Hertl, Couture, Pav ....but damn is Kane ever a goof.
