Personally while I acknowledge it's a rough contract, I don't think it's paying your best players that gets you in trouble. Andrew Shaw, Karl Alzner, Pleks when he was at $6m...those are the ones that cause problems.

Nice reply. At least there is still some humor out there. All joking aside on the Weber/Price issue. If the hand are looking to rebuild, doing it with Weber and Price bringing stability to a potentially young roster is a big deal. I think Price will find his game again and Weber will be in good form in the 2019-2020 season. Weber may not be under 30 anymore, but he has some solid top years left in him to help Montreal rebuild. In today’s NHL, you can turn things around pretty fast, unless you are Detroit.... they are going to be hurting for several years. Eeek
