I totally agree with your points here and highlighted a few because I can't wait, let me say it again, I can't wait to check in at the end of the year and see if Stats or our second line center has more points. I think you are right but this is a great prediction to take a look at the end of the year.

We need some room for the D men to step in and step it up. There is a bit of room now to fight for your roster spot so I bet these guys will be working hard to crack the lineup and stay. BTW, Toby hasn't been signed yet, although there is lot more time but no team jumped out for that multi year or single year contract for Toby yet.

And thirdly, I hope we see a beast of a Myers this year as it is a contract year and he played 82 games and only missed one playoff game. I still say it was no brainer deal trading Bogosian for Myers. I read somewhere that Dahlen might end up on the second pairing with Bogo to give him room to grow and be sheltered a bit until he gets accustomed to the NHL. My only thought is, good luck with that Buffalo!

Thanks for your support on my thoughts Charlie. RE: Bogo - I liked what he brought to the Jets when healthy. I thought he did an important job and was improving at it year-over-year. There was, however, no big upside with him. He was a tradeable asset moved at the right time.

CharlieDog, I hope Helly continues to grow & progress, as I thought he was very inconsistent in the playoffs. Goaltending, as you mentioned Fleury, is obviously huge in the playoffs (although I don’t think we made life very difficult for him). Helly is gonna have a big workload again this year and we need him to be strong and consistent.

The Central is a tough place and if we are going to win a cup then we will be going through hard series & tough teams every year now. Nashville will be strong, St.Louis got better, Dallas got better, Minny is always in the wildcard conversation, Colorado has a young improving team & Chicago missing the playoffs again is not something I would bet on. Every point and game within the division is going to matter, we can’t have a sluggish start.

Chevy ain't gonna buy when the market drives prices up -- good on him ... Stastny is a sad loss but a fact now ... circumstances have now opened the door for Roslo and/or Appleton ... best this happens at the start of the season when we have enough time to let one (both ?) of these guys to play in

If we need to bolster the line up for a playoff run we will have to do so near deadline time, again, with a rental ... we got there with Little et al last year

Our defence is stronger with Myers around - no question ... a lot of cap is gonna be chewed up on RHD, however, and IMHO with age, contracts, everything all in - he's odd man out / trade bait

Dumping the Mason contract was a good move - yes, it cost us Armia - but $4.1M of cap sinking with a soft-noggin goalie - ya gotta fix that one ASAP and Chevy did ... tough one to swallow but who woulda known ?

Lot's of juggling with Moose line-up that we haven't really commented on - - so nice to have these lads down the hall .... get Vesalainen over here and get him playing in the 'peg ... we'll see if he can play into the big club this year, sometime ... start em in preseason and go from there

No doom and gloom at all - looks like business as usual for Chevy & Co. ... draft n develop

I don't mid that line-up . Connor and Roslovic have some magic together from AHL. Tanev is three times as good as Dano, so Dano's name doesn't belong there.

That was part of the thinking for this line-up. Do you remember the success that Scheifele had with Laine and Ehlers in 2016-17? Anybody?......

I agree. I have commented before that only Schiefele has looked good with Laine and Ehlers.

I remember it vividly. That's the reason that line always remains in the conversation.
The third and fourth lines are solid as well. Petan does not belong on a fourth line so playing with guys like Perreault and Little offers him the offensive upside he deserves and both are able to cover for him defensively ( which in the past has been his real weakness). The only question mark in your lines is Roslovic and whether he is 100% ready for a second line center role and the huge responsibilities that come with it. The one good thing about Roslovic is that when it comes to fitness he comes from the Scheifele model and maybe with the exception of Shief , he is almost in another league fitness wise. That bodes well for his ability to be able to handle that center role and cover off a NHL league that is full of very fit centers.

Your lineup looks pretty good Liverpool.
