What say I? I say I'd love to smoke whatever you got your hands on there EK. This had to be the most painful article to read ever. Matthews isn't even a top 5, maybe not even a top 10 player in the league right now where as McDavid has back to back ted Lindsay's and has won the scoring race back to back and is also the same age as Matthews. This is possibly the worst hockey article I have ever seen written to even compare these two in the same sentence. McDavid is the best player in the world and Matthews isn't even close to on his level. Get some (frank)ing sense before you spew your bullpoop

Way too many other factors. Kucherov, lets use a rough example and rough numbers on why I think this is being blown way out of proportion. Lets say his salary is $5m per year, they get paid per game so for 82 games that's $60,976 per game. If 41 of those games he only gets federal taxes taken out at 35% he gets $39,634 in his pocket. If the other 41 games he gets taxes taken out at 55% he gets $27,439 in his pocket per game. The difference is $12,195 per game so multiply that by the 41 game difference and it's $500,000. I'm not sure it's making a HUGE impact to be honest compared to cost of living, weather, pressure, just general way of life.

Im not filing taxes in NY where I just made money. Players play in Canada from Florida...they are not going to file taxes in Canada because they made money during a game.

Mathews to date does nothing better than McDavid... to date so far anyways. Might change, who knows, but only a blind person could say otherwise right now with a straight face.

To be fair the only thing, the only thing, that has a ring of truth to it in your rediculous blog is how he is getting less ice time. But untill we see him handle big minutes like McDavid we won't know what he can do with those minutes.

BTW, some of those minutes are PK minutes as well. Which Mathews is not as good defensively to get yet.
