I actually liked O'Gara the more he played, but as a 6th 7th d man. Nothing flashy but was pretty solid around the net as he got more comfortable

I didnt come here to ruffle feathers but i am curious as to why you are so certain of a lot of these things ? Im not trying to bring the devils into this im trying to talk about youre team. I dont follow the rangers but we all know they are a rival of the team i do cheer for but i wouldnt say im very aware of the goings on in ranger land so i wanted to get some insight. I am havung a hard time understanding how the defense is better minus girardi (old news ) mcd and a rapidly aging staal. Who does the top six consist of ? You have to be banking on gut feelings here no ? You used colorado as being a team who has done a quick rebuild yet they havent consistantly made the play offs so i think they have gotten themselves on the right track a few times but also swayed off so i cant really say they successfully pulled a rebuild it two years they have been working on that a while now.

Again, there is no definitive rebuild. No set of rules. I’m not bashing NJ, just pointing out the misguided narratives that people have. ( I obviously think we have a better team) My point was really nobody knows who will or won’t be in playoffs. Skjei was still a rookie 2 seasons ago. Girardi and Klein have been replaced by Shattenkirk and combo of Pionk/ ADA.... Smith working out this summer with Rangers trainers in hope of being as good or better than he was 2 seasons ago. It’s been well documented how he showed up to camp out of shape last season, culminating in demotion to ahl. Rapidly aging Staal? Like that Benjamin Button guy? lol. Don’t Devs have 2 guys older? Staal was actually pretty steady last year and is serviceable while younger guys develop. Still 31 which isn’t exactly ancient
