Meh, 3 years.

He provided so much stability.

Maybe there is no rush. Considerations might include trades to free up the logjam. Possibly the Stecher upcoming contract. Huttons offseason results if he got in shape & a new attitude. Idk just a few thoughts.

Or maybe JB's waiting for the 3rd tier market.

I know Carolina's been a bad team for years but minus 94 the last five? Can't remember...is that good?

My take is thats what poor teams stats are.
Losing Tanev to gain a scoring RHD is good.
2yrs younger also helps IMO.
Canes need scoring upfront & stacked on D.

Last 2yrs only 84 games played.
Injuries for $7m is too steep.

This is the first time a man has asked me to bake together. I’m strangely ok with it. Tear pies, mixed messages cupcakes and how about some mentorship brownies as well? A real baking hattrick of mismanagement

When Demko is ready...

Nilsson gone is $2.5m cap saved
Markstrom is a placeholder unless he really makes a strong case. Possible not likely.
Demko resigns hopefully 3/1.5m
Future cap in goal looks great.
Search for top C & D continues through the draft & developing.
AG & EP can be key C pieces.
OJ is gonna be a solid top 4 IMO
Hughes adds what we need most.
Wingers we have many of but need 2-3 to stand out & be big scorers. Dahlen & JV.
Rathbone is coming along nicely

2-3yrs we look to be in great shape. Sure expectations are lofty but its a reasonable time frame. Adding to the prospect pool will continue to be top priority. Vets will be gone as in Gagner MDZ etc. Others are trade assets if kids shine.

I cannot help myself eyeing the NYI prospects looking to trade for.

Them needing D & a goalchie i’d luv to see JB make a big splash for a package.

Wahlstrom
Bellows

Both are wingers which we have many of but a Sven & Marky & Tanev can pry out something or some sorta combo. Dipietro might draw their ear idk.
