Does anyone in the hockey world realize JT Miller plays in the dzone like a dead grandpa? He causes more goals against then he does creating goals for throw in about 15-20 of the dumbest penalties a season and you have a constant headache on your hands

He was fine over in TB, but that said... I do remember thinking about that of him when he came over in the trade from his time with NYR.

The hope to me is that if he's playing with Stammer and Kuch, the O-zone possession with insulate him this way and, beyond that, those two aren't half bad in their own zone.

Otherwise, you might see him with some combo of TJ/Palat/Point - all three being solid two-way players.

The penalty thing bothers me, and I hope it doesn't rear its ugly head this coming year.

there’s no doubt he’ll get points.

There was one goal against in the playoffs vs Boston or wash i can’t remember, where he literally stood still by the circle turned his head in 3 different directions and the guy he was on scored a goal. It was an important stage of the game I know that. But that’s typical Miller, he’ll drive you nuts over the season.

That's the scouting report on him- drives his coaches nuts when he ghosts.

Hope Stammer and Kuch can keep his drive up. Hell, Kuch took 2 weeks off and was right back on the ice working out. That guy has no quit.

He was caught between the F1 and F2 in the defensive zone, getting support by the C1 and D2. That led to a outlet pass thrue the entry zone where offense was created. He now lives in his Basement with James Tanner and James Cameron going deeper then ever in analytics.

Nice with a blog with some Lightning insight.

Hellybuck should be a good comparable for Vasi's extension when his contract comes up.
