Why wouldn't Bowman bring back another ex Blackhawks? That's how he does business, besides giving everyone NMCs. |

Shaw is available, likely for pennies on the dollar.
Strike now! |

Finally. If there's one thing holding back the Hawks, it's too many entry-level deals and not enough high salary contracts. |

Those talks better start with Debrincat and/or Schmaltz going back to Columbus. |

Nope. It'll be Seabrook and Ward. Then Bowman will trade the cap space savings back to Columbus so that he can RE-acquire Seabrook and Ward. |

Hey, they still have a solid core that is ripe for a comeback season. Win as many cups as you can when you can. Besides, being stuck with Panarin for long term Isn’t a bad thing, as long as it’s not too long of a term. Also, you can probably always trade Seabrooks’ and Toews’ contracts to Arizona in a few years. |

They need to fix the defense first. |

I suppose then the plan is to win games by scores of 7-5? Because that D is still a tire fire... |

If the Hawks could have a contract agreement with Panarin similar to Kucherov's recent deal I would trade Anisimov, a 1st, a 2nd, one of their young defenders, and an A minus prospect (maybe Hawks protect their top 6 prospects and let Columbus take their pick on anyone after that). |

They need to fix their D, but it can be done after a Panarin deal.
If Panarin would agree to a Kucherov type deal $9.5 mil x 8 years and they trade Coumbus Anisimov ($4.55 mil) and Rutta ($2.3 mil), a 1st, a 2nd, and a high level (but not a top 5) prospect as part of the Panarin ($6 mil) deal they actually gain cap space this year and only add $2.65 mil next year.
