I want them to go get Zucker for the 2nd line wing and hopefully Kuraly/Studnicka takes a major step forward into the third line role.

I really like Kuraly. Just need more offense from him.

Also, got my winter classic tickets today. LETS GO!

A lot of people seem down on the idea of Kuraly being 3C. What did Nash ever accomplish before getting that role? They seem like similar players to me, but Kuraly brings more speed and tenacity. I think he can produce with some better line mates.

As much as I like the idea of Stud, JFK or Frederic winning a job, I can’t say I love the thought of icing a 3rd line with under 100 games combined experience (assuming Donato Bjork or Heinen are your wingers). I don’t think Backes should be on the third line either.

Also I’d be in on Zucker if he was a RW, Bs are so deep at LW though I don’t think he’d be a big difference maker over Debrusk or Heinen

Well, that's what I want.

Actually, I just want them playing for any team that isn't the Flyers. Don't the Bruins have some crap they can pile on the Flyers, old man Backes maybe?

Backes and butt cream for Lehtera and Weise works for everyone.

Butt cream is a non-starter. It clearly has the highest value by far of anything in this trade.

If they want to promote from within, I could see it looking something like this at the start of the season.

Marchand-Bergeron-Donato
DeBrusk-Krejci-Pastrnak
Heinen-Kuraly-Backes
Nordstrom-Wagner-Accari
JFK/Senyshyn/Bjork

Chara-McAvoy
Krug-Carlo/McQuaid
Moore-Grzelcyk/Miller

Rask
Halak

A couple of things. I fully expect a couple surprises out of camp, so this could definitely change. Call me crazy, but I think Bjork needs more time. At least a half season to get his confidence up especially after being injured. I know Donato is not listed as a RW, but given his mentality of shoot first I think he would adapt well. Assuming that clicks, it would give the B's a decent top six, a sneaky third line and jury will be out to see what the 4th line is made of. I wouldn't be opposed to having this year be dedicated to calling up some players from providence and giving them a look in the bottom six somewhere either.

On D, I think they will run a rotation on the bottom 4, and spell Chara more often (or at least they should). Grzelcyk did enough last season to justify a spot at least part time, and I think they will give Carlo every opportunity to show he is past last year's growing pains.

Would be nice if Halak got somewhere between 18-25 starts. Keep Rask healthy and not exhausted.

Scoring is going to be at a premium for this team next season. The holes on the second line and the third line are big. I hope they give Studnicka a real shot to win the job. He is the only candidate that has offensive skills to fill the third line center role. Forsbacka Karlson only scored 15 goals last year in Providence. Studnicka has to make the big club or go back to juniors he is to young to play in the AHL. I also hope they put Bjork on the first line and move Pasternak to the second line. Of course that goes out the window if they do the smart thing and trade Krug and Heinen for either Jeff Skinner or Artemi Panerin.

I'd like to see something along the lines of this next season:

Forward 1 - Forward 2 - Forward 3
Forward 1 - Forward 2 - Forward 3
Forward 1 - Forward 2 - Forward 3
Forward 1 - Forward 2 - Forward 3
Press box guy

Defender 1 - Defender 2
Defender 1 - Defender 2
Defender 1 - Defender 2
Press box guy

Starting Goalie
Backup Goalie

I really feel like with this lineup it gives the [HOCKEY TEAM] the highest possible chance to score more goals than the opposing teams.

Stay tuned...

Derek Sanderson couldnt have said it better....

Really though, I'm hoping Donato grows into one of the top to lines, sooner rather than later. Then figure out a package to get Trouba,

Backes is a pretty solid 3C and is 3rd highest paid centre at 6M..... Who would be an improvement over him that is also affordable?

Thinking Donato, based on skill-set for the "one" top six opening, ESPECIALLY if Pasta drops to 2nd line

For some reason I'm not sold on Kuraly for your 3C, not sure why, I did think he was a big asset last year, If Backes is actually Healthy why wouldn't you just slot him there.

honestly can't even remember what Bjork did for the B's last year seems like he got injured pretty quickly, came back and then got hurt again, he did have some goals playing with Bergy.

I may be one of the few left that BELIEVE you need toughness in your line-up, helped the Caps last year, As much as I hate Wilson he gave them Balls and Life when they were playing Tampa.
