Didn't realise your PP% was 14% last season? What happened there?

PP can only improve, which will help.. But once again everything revolves around McDavid. Hopes are slim that someone else can step up ( Yamamoto - Puljujarvi ) ?

I'm glad this post just didn't turn into another Chiarelli traded Hall, wha wha cryfest.

The Oilers issues have little to do with losing one dimensional wingers or scoring in general. They have to do with goaltending, defense, coaching/special teams. Going to say injuries even had more influence on last season than the supposed "no depth in the top 6" BS.

In actuality the offense has generally improved despite losing players like Hall and Eberle.

A healthy team with improved goaltending and special teams, plus moderate growth from our young players and prospects, is a team that will be in the mix forsure. Especially in the weak pacific division.

We've drafted a lot of fast talented wingers over the years hopefully now we just get one or two to develop into a true top 6 level guy to take us over the top.

Edmonton's pp needs a qb to drive it from the point. As good as guys like Giroux, Simmonds etc.. are on the pp, Philly's powerplay revolves around Shayne Gostisbehere. That being said, it is pretty hard to believe that a pp featuring McDavid couldn't even score 40 total goals.

Any team that can put McD & RNH & Drai on the PP needs / must be better than 15%. That’s not the oil issue though. A home PK of what 70% or so is.
As for Ducks not making playoffs... you need a new pair of glasses. A healthy Lindholm / Eaves + the kids & no Juice or Beauchemin = easily another 105 pts

I would say both Hall and Eberle fit that description.

There’s a dude out there that wrote that and then afterwards was like “yeah, nice one. I totally know what I’m talking about and really hit that post outta the park “

The vast majority of people need to be culled

Gap tooth and horse face have no place on a team with our unparalleled depth on the wings.

What’s up with Puljujarvi? Looked like he had all the tools to play in the top 6 when he was drafted.

Also those guys really hurt the good looks of the team. Larsson and Klefbom shouldn’t have to deal with looking at those guys in the locker room.

He'll be fine... some players take a year or two to break out.

Look at Filip Forsberg... broke out in year 3 and was very much Puljujarvi like his first two years. They need to play him with skill and give him and extended look not just one or two games.

I don't think he'll be Forsberg but I think he could be a 20/20 or 20/30 type guy. Ideally it would be nice if him and Draisaitl clicked and became a duo like Nuge and McDavid.
