It wouldn't be a Tanner blog post without him randomly selecting metrics to make his points.

Between all of his selections, his choices have a combined 0 Norris trophies, 0 Conn Smythe trophies and 1 All-star appearance (6 years ago by Suter.)

Granted, choosing the best players in a team sport is very subjective, but here is an objective perspective - Zero Stanley cup winners. That is the goal, right? Or is it cherry-picking regular season stats?

If you wanna go about things this way, then change the name of the headline/article all together. Instead of calling it "top 5 Dman in th Western Conference"(which it surely isn't), call it "My sleeper picks" or "Most underrated in my opinion" or something along those lines.

If any hockey fans that were new to this site came here and read this garbage they surely wouldn't return unless its to laugh/mock how stupid the opinions are. Essentially by writing these ridiculous articles you're making a laughing stock of your own site. Its embarrassing.
