If if if.....there's always injuries. Bottom line is the team seriously lacks any offensive talent at forward or defence.
- LeftCoaster

Yeah, but not much has changed in that regard from last season to now. It's always about if. If their best players actually play, I believe the results will be about the same as last season (in a year where they had multiple injuries). If they experience a plethora of injuries again, they will be worse off.

I hope Gaunce does score 15 goals that would be a hell of a gift for CANUCKS

History doesn't favor the comment above

You're detracting from the gaunce vs beagle debate, stop it.

Year three will suck because the cap space will be needed then.

I don't know why you have such a hard on for Jay, he isn't a scrapper, I dont't believe he is better defensively (checker), and time will tell if he is actually better offensively. I get it, you don't like Gaunce, he isn't going to be a first line player (or second, or third probably), I just don't get the Beagle love.

I really don't care one bit about Beagle other than the fact I think he is a bottom 6 solid player.

It was the Coach that requested his talents . It was not Vantels request to JB that they signed him for.

I just get a kick out of all the know it alls that think they know what is better to run his club than he does.

Neither of those guys will win games for the team, they're almost as irrelevant as the Sedins are now....almost.

Addition by subtraction imo. Sedins stunk. That being said, we are surely a bottom ten team still.
- CanuckDon

Team is actually better 5/5 now if healthy. Yet to see if that will translate into a few more wins. Markstrom still sucks and will never really be a starter which is a bit of a WC. I'm sticking to my original prediction that we finish 21-25 and pick 10th.

No . You and all your fellow Beagle lovers can hope to build a cup winner with his elite talent

Yeah for whatever reason I just don't see bottom 5. Bottom 10 for sure...hey the Oilers sucked last year and picked 10th...so will we!! lol

By then Nucker should be in Stats/analytics in the Nucks front orifice and all should be well.

True, there's no place for Gaunce and Beagle is a slow marginal player. He may help the PP and win some faceoffs but imo that's not a scale tipping event.

Tkachuk is about to sign.

Strong possibility he ends up in London

Tkachuk
Bouchard
Boqvist
Foudy

4 first round picks from the same draft

I don't know how London always gets so lucky.

It has been said over and over by Canucks Beagle will undo some of the defensive responsibilities for guys like Horvat Sutter and let them take on more offensive roles .

Horvat was cast in an offensive role last year, Beagle will have a neutral affect on his game. He may take some responsibility away from Sutter but he's not an offensive player, he needs others to make him produce offence, other than the occasional short handed goal.

Weak argument and everyone knows Beagle isn’t a fighter. Playing with grit doesn’t necessarily mean you have to drop the mitts. We have others for that

Last year, Bo Horvat was second among Vancouver Canucks’ forwards with 148 minutes on the penalty kill.

Difference is, i would never go after a prolific fighter if i didnt know how to properly fight though.
