Probably the only way is to hire Dave Chappelle to do color commentary for the BJs

They're just not an appealing franchise. They have very good players like Jones/Werenski/Panarin/Bobrovsky, but they don't have an Ovechkin/McDavid/Crosby type. For a franchise that the bulk of the nation might not even know exists, in a non-traditional market where most people in the vicinity grew up liking teams like Pittsburgh or Detroit while growing up, they've done a good job at developing a decent fan base. But until they go on a deep run or get a "generational talent" as opposed to very good players, no one will really tune in to watch them.

Not a Cbus fan but I respect the work ethic they bring every night thanks to Tortz. So how do you get more national games? The simple answer is 2fold, Star Power and continued Playoff Success.
Of course major markets like LA,NY,CHI,DC will get a lot of games based on market size&ratings, but they moreso get games atleast Chi&DC based off 3x Champ pedigree, HOF players like Kane, etc. Caps with OV,Backstrom,Holtby,Kuzy etc

If you notice new fresh teams getting more games are teams with loads of talent&stars seen as forces for next few years like Preds&Jets, with Laine,Hellybuck, Elhers, and that crew. Preds with loaded D, Subban,Josi,Rinne in net, etc. So Cbus has good young players like Werenski&Jones and a top flight netminder in Bob but they dont play a tv friendly style& dont have a bunch of superstar forwards to sell especially once Panarin leaves who is the only scary forward capable of scoring 80-90 points.
That sells
