i really can't get over people thinking this is a horrible trade. fine McQuaid was beast, so what? the game is changing, we have a glut of defenseman and he never played a full season in his career.

I said this BLOWS, really don't see it as a bad trade, this was just getting rid of Salary, I like Miller too, but he is NOT a heavyweight. I know about the NEW NHL with no fighting. hey I think the Caps would disagree, Wilson had a big role in their run, so whatever. Quaider was the odd man out, it just sucks.

Yeah, but Wilson is just out there running dudes and taking cheap shots... that's not the same as fighting. Sure he has to fight eventually because of his dirty play.

He will be missed, but the writing has been on the wall for a couple years now. I'm a little surprised that McQuaid went though... if they were to move another guy, they could have used McQuaid as a 7th defenseman. Now they have 7 starting defenseman, so either there will be another trade before the season starts, or the Bruins are planning on holding on to everyone in case of injury, and just platooning guys to get everyone consistent playing time. Will be interesting to see what Sweeney does, but you can't have Grz sitting every game after he earned a spot in the league last year.
