Bad news guys,

I got NHL 19 and started playing GM mode, the 3 free agents we signed end up causing us to hurt for cap space and Lind, Dahlen, Gadjovich, Palmu, Woo never become NHL players.

Me too....
Plus sutter turns into a depth forward and gudbranson is still untradable.

Ottawa has 3 players signed for more than 2 years . Gaborik hasn't been cleared to play and will miss this year and Ryan will probably be moved leaving one contract.

This would be a perfect team for Vitsy to follow . He surely can't female dog about one player only being signed longer can two years? Can he?

- VANTEL

What's with all the vintsy hate? None left for me?
Have you seen Melnyks interview? He wants 10 rookies on the team this year and an additional 5 next season. Poor Ottawa.

Bob mckenzie going on a tweet train, saying karlsson talks have picked up and ottawa wants to trade before training camp. It is expected, per bob mckenzie, that he gets traded to a western conference team. I would assume the team is San Jose

Edit - per McKenzie. He has the sense the trade happens today/tomorrow

Sutter starts as a depth forward and Gudbranson is placed in the AHL by default

What is bothering me moving forward this season Newell Browns Power play. If I see Edler make one more drop pass.
- thundachunk

The drop pass is fantastic. It’s a great way to gain entry with control and speed. The Canucks issue is they rely on it too frequently.

I would say 95% of the teams in the NHL utilize that drop pass on the PP. The difference being, we have Edler and Stecher controlling the PP and that drop pass, and not a karlsson, Burns, Subban, Josi, etc.

lol...out of the previous players you mentioned only Leipsic (with the right amount of TOI) could supplant Schaller. Schaller scored 12 goals on the fourth line in BOS last year with limited TOI/role. Gaudette and Dahlen don't even have 10 NHL games between them. Goldy is another story and will be relied upon to provide other than what Schaller brings. Schaller was brought here for a reason and will literally have to play his way off the club for now. His spot is secure.
- LordHumungous

He's played one decent/full season on a stacked Boston team, he's 27, he's got as much to prove as Granlund, Gagner, Leipsic, Gaudette and Goldy. Depth signing that shouldn't be guaranteed anything. I hope he works out but temper your expectation. Some hoped Burmistrov would work out, look how that turned out.

No sh!t, and a couple of the usual clowns are suggesting we waive Schaller and Beagle to make room for the kids. Schaller isn’t going anywhere and the kids can earn their callups Fromm utica.

Yeah that is definitely an issue. Going to have to add him into the game for realism

Same, I did create him as a low franchise 70 OV with maxed out speed, offensive and skating traits, poor defense and shooting skills.

He became a top 6 in 2023 but put up 35 assists in 56 games as a depth defensemen.

Low franchise? That's pretty generous. I'll probably put him about a 72/73 with medium elite

Then how do you justify a PP that was 29th in the league?

I gave up on trying to explain to comfort Vintsy it is a waste of time . The poor fella cries about non scoring but has Dahlen sent down while he protects Gaunce. How do you deal with that logic
- VANTEL

Are you sure? I’m pretty sure I had Dahlen on the first line... in fact, I had lots of youth and none of your bad contracts.
