What were you expecting with the cap increase? Under 9M would’ve been a steal - Nucker101
I personally dont like the term. I think hes a fantastic player, but 9.85 aav well into your mid 30s is not something i care for. Just my opinion though |

Unfortunately that’s what it takes to keep your franchise Center, 7-8 year contracts or he’s just gonna wait until July.
You either do it or your trade him
Seguin didn’t give much of a hometown discount here though considering the 8th year + comfort of staying in Dallas |

That’s how much 70+ points cost with this kind of salary cap. If Draisaitl has a 90 point season in the next few years that’ll be a great deal. |

I expect players who play with McDavid on the PP to accumulate lots of points. Mcdavid had nearly 70 assists last year. Leon imo is not worth 8.5aav. Mind you, when he has lucic as a winger, i would imagine that would hinder his totals as well. |

Per dreger, and all the TSN media boys, SJ is currently making a massive push for karlsson. |

Understood but Draisaitl is an excellent player in his own right and he’s still young |

Time for growth absolutely. But paying leon 8.5 out of his ELC is something i just cant get behind. I personally love the bridge contracts for non generational talents. |

So Benning just announced that they won’t sign Boeser this season. They will wait until next summer. Smart move |

Benning and green still very persistent to media that 2-3 rookies can absolutely make the team out of camp if deserves and waiving vets is an option they will consider. |

Insane. How can Wilson pull this off?
He doesn’t have much of a prospect pool, no young top 4 dman to trade either.

Yeah it’s a gamble by Chiarelli but I wouldn’t be so quick to judge that one just yet. It may work out really well for him. |

I expect the PP to regress, but his 5v5 numbers could improve if he gets some of those freed up o-zone starts |

It’s only smart if Boeser has a bad year, if he has another good year he was gonna get paid anyways so not really an advantage to the Canucks. |

Sens must be high on Merkley. I view him about the same as Woo, value-wise.
questionable hockey sense at both ends of the ice, really bad defensively, but obviously really talented offensively.
Ryan Murphy, Anthony DeAngelo vibes |

Boeser doesnt have any rights in his negotiating anyways.
not eligible for arbitration
and he can't be offer-sheeted by anyone |

He doesn’t need rights, he scored 29 goals in 60 something games, they’ll gladly pay him market value. If he can duplicate. |
