Give us Clarkson contract.... ALSO Karlsson should be good with 11m - Nevada is tax free no?
I could get on board with the Golden Knights if Karlsson goes there. |

No team trading for Ek should take ryans contract back, that's almost 20 million in two players, once EK signs an extension for about 11-12 mill.
If I was a GM and Ottawa wants to include the ryan contract I am offering pennies on the dollar for EK, as I could simply try and sing him when he hits UFA. If Ottawa is going to try and move ryans contract with any EK trade then the return will be quite diminished.
Its not like Ottawa will be in cap trouble in the near furture keep ryan and get as much as you can for one of the best dmen in the league. |

Honestly, the report said coming out of the team are that they are a close group. They went very well last season & hopefully can sustain those results.
Would getting both those guys really benifit the organisation? I truly think that getting Karlsson or both players will have a negative affect on the group. They are a bunch of hard working players giving it their all. Having a superstar enter the Frey will change that dynamic & my thoughts are for the worse not better. Just my opinion. |

Interesting angle of view, but with Karlsson's skill and class (as seen in the handshake-line in '17), i'm pretty sure he is welcomed in every dressing-room else than where Hoffman's wife currently stands in front. |

Team dynamic is often affected by external forces. Obviously everyone knows about the issues they've (Karlssons), had, & quite possibly may impact with the females already settled into the group. Jealousy is a female dog & could bring things undone. It's impossible for everyone to get along all the time. It's just 1 aspect, there are others for why I think that way. |

You summarized this pretty perfectly, most likely Karlsson and Hoffman would get a long pretty well, weren't it for their always-to-be-entertained "better halves".

Just some thoughts: As a Vegas local, I can tell you that Glass is going no where. The organization loves that guy and are projecting him to be a franchise player. I think any deal like this would have to be contingent on EK signing a contract and Ottawa retaining half of Ryan’s salary and cap hit. Vegas isn’t worries about a future contract for Gusev because they don’t even know if he will come to the NHL. Also, the Knights like Schmidt and so do fans, but I don’t think moving him or letting him walk is out of the question. |

Ok, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Vegas looks to be in "win now" mode with the trade of Suzuki, Tatar, and a pick for Patches. Glass is also a few years away, which doesn't seem to fit in with the "win now" signals McPhee is sending. |

If ottawa retained some of ryans salary, would it be plausible for Vegas to buy Ryan out like Brooks Orpik situation? |

With 50% retained, Bobby Ryan is actually a pretty acceptable player, especially as he may refind some of his youth with VGK, which are a little cooler than the Melnyk-crew.
